Pernett
Humberto Pernett grew up in the midst of Barranquilla's famous carnival atmosphere. Since early childhood he was captivated by music. At age 18 he moved to Bogota to study music, and it is here his career really takes off. While working on his first album he meets English producer Richard Blair, and is invited to make part of Sidestepper, touring extesively with the band.
Pernett has been busy making music for many years now. The first result was ‘Musica Pa Pick Up’ EP (Sony, 2004). Two big hits came out in this work: ‘Huele a Mariacachafa’ and ‘The Caribbean Raver’. After touring europe with his first EP, he releases “Cumbia Galactica” EP (Polen Records, 2006).
In 2008 he presented his first full album “Arbol”, a ground breaking record with collaborations from Visitante Calle 13, Son Palenque and Tostao from Chocquibtown.
